What MailEraser Does

MailEraser is a Chrome extension that helps you bulk-delete Gmail emails. It lets you filter by sender, keyword, or date range, then moves matching emails to trash (recoverable) or permanently deletes them.

Data Access

MailEraser requests the following Gmail API scopes:

• gmail.modify — to list emails and move them to trash
• https://mail.google.com/ — required for permanent deletion from trash

The extension only reads email message IDs needed for deletion. It does not read, store, or transmit email subject lines, body content, attachments, or any other message data.

Data Storage

• Your Gmail OAuth token is stored locally in Chrome via chrome.storage.local and managed by Chrome's built-in identity system.
• Your language preference is stored locally.
• No data is sent to any third-party server. All API calls go directly from your browser to Google's Gmail API endpoints.
• No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry.

Data Sharing

MailEraser does not collect, share, or sell any user data to any third party. Ever.
